My
clinical practice consists of:
1) Individual psychotherapy- adults and late adolescents who wish to improve
the quality of their lives and confront patterns of anxiety, depression,
dependence/independence, early trauma, stress and coping, and/or relationship
difficulties.
2) Couples and family therapy - with an emphasis on systems theory and
interventions that address issues of intimacy/autonomy, gender, and families
of origin.
3) Organizational consultation - including coaching, team-building, conflict
resolution, organizational assessment, and strategic planning.
As a practicing clinical psychologist for many years, I am a Fellow of
the Academy of Clinical Psychology (A.B.P.P.), a Fellow of the American
Psychological Association, a Diplomate of the American Academy of Experts
in Traumatic Stress, a founding member of the National Registry of Certified
Group Psychothera- pists, and author of six textbooks on psychotherapy
and other psycho- logical issues. I am broadly trained and have a deep
respect for the potential of individuals to change their lives in meaningful
ways through an active therapeutic relationship.
