  CALIFORNIA PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION

CPA Board of Directors report 10/27-28/07

While the board considered many issues, I believe the most important
were: 1) establishing programs to support early career psychologists,
2) pursuing ways to better support chapters, 3) designing materials
and strategies for local public education on the identity and value of
the expertise of psychologists, 4) planning for the CPA convention to
be held at the Disneyland Hotel April 3-6, 2008 (where you can
economically get 18 CE units, which satisfies your annual CE
requirements), 5) receiving an update on statewide disaster response
efforts (and being charged to get disaster response training).

You can learn more about CPA efforts on the CPA website,
http://www.cpapsych.org. Of course, I would be happy to talk with any
of you regarding CPA.

Take care,
Dean Goven
