My practice specialties are: anxiety disorders (Co-Founder - Anxiety and Panic Disorders Clinic of S.B., since 1992), group psychotherapy, cardiac psychology, adult & adolescent individual therapy, and couples therapy.

My primary therapeutic modalities are: cognitive, gestalt, redecision - my therapy is active, change oriented, experiential, supportive, and emphasizes awareness and choice in the present moment. My psychotherapy groups are open-ended and have an interpersonal focus.

Since 1997, I have been running closed groups for impaired physicians, pharmacists, and dentists as part of the Medical Board of California and Maximus Professional Diversion Programs - appropriate referral should be made to the specific licensing board. I run a similar group for impaired attorneys, Lawyers Assistance Program – contact State Bar Association.

My office hours are: Mon - Thurs. 9 - 5 p.m., Fri 9 - 3 pm. Third party reimbursement may apply. I will supply an appropriate bill. No managed care panel participation.

I am a licensed psychologist (since 1983), founding member of the National Registry for Certified Group Psychotherpapists, and member of the National Register for Health Service Providers in Psychology. I have been practicing in Santa Barbara since receiving my M.F.T. license in 1978. My teaching and training positions have included: UCSB, Fielding Graduate Institute, Pacifica Graduate Institute, Antioch University, Santa Barbara Graduate Institute, and the Santa Barbara Gestalt Training Center.
