Dr. Erbeck has been in private practice in Ventura since 1979. He has delivered over 30,000 hours of psychotherapy. He was trained in the highly acclaimed Clinical Psychology program at Florida State University.
Dr. Erbeck has extensive post doctoral training and clinical experience with numerous diagnostic categories. His treatment modalities are primarily evidence based cognitive behavioral therapy with a Rogerian bent. He uses numerous therapeutic techniques dependent upon the individual person. He takes substantially more than required hours of continuing education each year.
Dr. Erbeck is Past President of the Ventura County Psychological Association. He served on the Board of Directors for the California Psychological Association (CPA) for 20 years. He has been awarded the Silver Psi, 'CPA's highest honor'. He is published, and has presented many workshops and papers, most recently at the American Psychological Association Annual Convention in New Orleans in 2006.
Dr. Erbeck also has extensive training in psychopharmacology allowing him to consult knowledgeably with your prescribing physician.
