Dr. Stephen Barcia Bacon's style of practice is influenced by the following four themes: Family Systems: studied structural/strategic approaches to family and marital therapy from teachers like Haley, Madones, and MRI. Hypnosis: studied the Ericsonians like Gilligan and the Lanktons and Ego State Therapy with the Watkins. Adventure and Experiential Therapies: worked for Outward Bound for years and did extensive personal adventuring. Mythic, Archetypal and Transpersonal: have a religious studies degree, studied with Campbell, Levine and Cornfield, and have extensive meditation background. Specialize in family therapy, marital therapy, working with pain and illness, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Work with adults, adolescents, and seniors. Not on any managed care panels. |
